The Haryana government has decided to offer higher grants to those villages which record a considerable improvement in child sex ratio, as part of its "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign. Villages like Rainwali, Lotni and Chuharpur are among the best performers in terms of sex ratio. State agriculture minister Om Parkash Dhankar has advocated a stern eye on sex-determination ultrasounds.
