Haryana's Hisar sees decline in sex ratio at birth, raises concern
A decline in the sex ratio at birth (SRB) in Haryana's Hisar district, from 921 girls per 1,000 boys at the end of 2025 to 895 in the first half of 2026, has raised concern among health authorities. Officials said the SRB improved to 902 by the end of July. Authorities have intensified monitoring to curb illegal sex determination and unlawful abortions.
