South Africa's 36-year-old batsman Hashim Amla has announced his retirement from international cricket. Amla, who made his international debut in 2004, scored 9,282 runs in 124 Tests, 8,113 runs in 181 ODIs and 1,277 runs in 44 T20Is. He holds the record for being the fastest batsman to score 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000 and 7,000 ODI runs.
