A senior leader from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has claimed that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would have merged the country with India had she remained in power. "A fascist can only live with fascists," the leader, identified as Shamsuzzaman Dudu, said referring to Hasina, who fled to India after mass anti-government protests against her administration broke out last year.
