NEC Director Kevin Hassett said it is a good time for the Fed to cautiously cut rates and expects easing at next week meeting. Hassett, a frontrunner to succeed Chair Powell, spoke as CME FedWatch put cut odds at 87.2%. Morgan Stanley also flipped its view, joining JPMorgan and BofA in forecasting a December cut.
