PM Narendra Modi said the government is actively working to allow private companies into India's nuclear energy sector. "Just as we opened the space sector and saw explosive growth...we are now preparing similar historic reforms in nuclear energy," PM said. Until now private firms were restricted to only supplying components or services but never owning or operating nuclear reactors.
