Hawaiian telescope captures most detailed pictures of the sun yet

Hawaii's Inouye Solar Telescope has captured the highest-ever resolution images of the solar surface. The images show the sun's surface to be made up of granular structures, each about the size of France. In the middle of each granular structure is a bright spot, the point of release of heat from the sun's interior to its surface.
