The Rajasthan High Court has approved the Indian Air Force's request of land acquisition for the proposed airbase near the Pakistan border in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar. The court rejected a petition by 58 farmers who had objected to the acquisition of their lands for the airbase, stating when it comes to national security, individual hardship must be weighed against public interest.
