Madras HC on Friday ordered a CBI investigation into corruption allegations against Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami in awarding road contracts worth ₹3,500 crore. The state's opposition party DMK had filed the petition four months ago alleging corruption in allocating the contracts of five highway projects to various firms owned by Palaniswami's relatives.
