Responding to a petition, the AP High Court on Monday directed the Election Commission of India to allot a symbol to the NOTA (None Of The Above) option. Currently, the letters NOTA are written in English in between brackets on the ballot paper and illiterate voters may not recognize this, the petitioner said.
