HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan has apologised to customers for outages and assured that the lender was working on a "war footing" to strengthen its digital capabilities. The RBI temporarily stopped HDFC from adding new credit card customers or launching digital businesses. Jagdishan admitted to three outages — in November 2018, December 2019 and the latest one in November 2020.
