CBI has booked Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited (HDIL) promoters Rakesh and Sarang Wadhawan in a new bank fraud case involving an amount of ₹140 crore in connection with their subsidiary Guruashish Construction. The duo was booked after a complaint from Union Bank of India alleging the Wadhawans "cheated" it "with dishonest intention to make wrongful gain".
