A student at Kolkata's Jadavpur University has revealed that professor Kanak Sarkar had asked her if "she would like to bathe with him in any river". The student said Sarkar asked this when she went to his office to submit a presentation. The university has divested Sarkar of teaching duties with immediate effect over his remarks on women's virginity.
