Nirav Modi, the prime accused in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case, was denied bail for the tenth time by a UK High Court on May 15. Denying the bail, the court said there were "substantial grounds" to believe that the 54-year-old diamantaire would fail to surrender if granted bail. The risk of him absconding remained high, it added.
