Sidney Poitier's family released a statement after the actor passed away on Friday at the age of 94. "To us, Sidney was not only a brilliant actor, activist...he was also a devoted...husband, a supportive and adoring father...a man who always put family first," the statement read. "He will live on in us, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren," it added.
