The Union Health Ministry has cancelled all leave of its staff, except those availed on medical grounds, owing to India-Pakistan tensions. Leaves sanctioned prior also stand cancelled and all officers have been asked to report back to duty. Further, the ministry has set up a 24x7 command-and-control room to ensure seamless coordination between Centre and states on medical emergency preparedness.
