Health Ministry pushes state plans for leprosy-free India

At a regional workshop in Nava Raipur, Health Ministry official Aradhana Patnaik urged states to adopt targeted roadmaps to eliminate leprosy. She stressed early detection, contact tracing, wider use of Single-Dose Rifampicin, and focused interventions in hotspot districts, which account for nearly half of India's leprosy burden.
