Health Ministry unlikely to bring law to protect doctors amid protests: Report

The demand of protesting doctors that a special law should be introduced to protect healthcare workers is unlikely to be introduced by the Health Ministry, Indian Express reported. An official said it won't make a difference, adding that 26 states and UTs have laws to protect healthcare workers. Meanwhile, the Ministry approved 25% rise in security at central government hospitals.
