Pictures and videos shared by the media have shown piles of garbage and refuse strewn about at campsites in Uttarakhand's Kedarnath amid the Char Dham Yatra. This came as the Yatra resumed this year after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The increased human activity and garbage are destroying the area's flora, experts have warned.
