Heavy rain lashes parts of Delhi-NCR, red alert issued

Heavy rain and thunderstorms lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Friday, bringing relief from humid conditions. The IMD issued a red nowcast alert for heavy rain in several Delhi districts until 8 pm. It forecast thunderstorms with lightning and varying rainfall intensity through the afternoon, evening and night, including moderate to heavy rain during the evening hours.
