Chikkamagaluru and Madikeri have been heavily impacted by continuous rainfall since Monday night, leading to severe flooding of roads and bridges. The district administration has responded by declaring a holiday for schools and colleges in five affected taluks: Kalasa, Mudigere, Koppa, N R Pura, and Sringeri.
