Heavy rains and strong winds in Chikkamagaluru caused widespread damage, toppling over 60 electric poles and uprooting trees. Large parts of Mudigere taluk remain without power, while key roads, including the Banakal-Mattikatte route, are blocked. Residents are helping clear debris as authorities work to restore electricity and normal traffic movement across the affected areas.
