Japanese company Sanrio, the creator of Hello Kitty, said that the fictional character isn't a cat. "She's actually a little girl," Sanrio's Senior VP of Marketing and Brand Management Jill Koch said. She added Hello Kitty "weighs three apples" and is "five apples tall", grew up in the London suburbs with her twin sister, parents and pet cat 'Charmmy Kitty'.
