Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace successfully launched the maiden test flight of India's first privately built orbital rocket, Vikram-1, from Sriharikota on Saturday. After the success, Skyroot was heard saying, "Hello space, we have arrived," during the livestream. With Vikram-1's launch, India has become the world's third country with private orbital launch capability after US and China.
