Hyderabad Traffic Police has warned motorists of strict action for allowing a pillion rider to accompany them without wearing a helmet. "The pillion rider is as much at risk of losing his or her life as the driver," Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, said. On many occasions, the pillion rider was killed due to not wearing a helmet, Kumar added.
