Higher physical activity strongly lowers teen MAFLD risk: Study

A study in the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that higher accelerometer-measured physical activity-especially during daytime-significantly lowered the risk of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in adolescents. Teens in the highest activity quartile had up to 60% reduced MAFLD odds, underscoring daytime movement as a key preventive strategy.
