Higher vitamin D during pregnancy may protect baby's teeth: Study

A cohort study published in JAMA Network Open found that higher vitamin D levels during pregnancy were linked to a lower risk and severity of early childhood dental caries. Tracking over 4,000 mother-child pairs, researchers observed the strongest protective effect in mid to late pregnancy, suggesting prenatal vitamin D sufficiency may support better oral health in children.
