South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said that during her meeting with President-elect Joe Biden, she highlighted the need to restart US-North Korea dialogue to achieve the goal of completely denuclearising the Korean peninsula. Kang also said that she was looking forward to having early formal discussions after Biden is sworn in. She also met a number of Biden allies.
