A plea was on Tuesday moved in the Supreme Court challenging the Karnataka High Court order that upheld the ban on hijab in educational institutions. The High Court on Tuesday ruled that wearing of hijab by Muslim women doesn't constitute an essential practice in Islam and dismissed the petition to strike down the ban imposed by Karnataka government.
