Himachal Pradesh is witnessing a steady and alarming rise in cancer cases and has emerged as one of the most-affected states in the country relative to its population. The official data reveals that more than 10,000 persons have died due to cancer in the state over the past eight years, while over 1,500 new cases are being reported every year.
