Hindu man sentenced to death in Saudi over blasphemy after responding to insult to Lord Shiva

A 24-year-old Hindu man from Sri Lanka has been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia over a blasphemous comment insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad, which he posted after derogatory remarks targeting Lord Shiva were circulated online. Sivarasa Anojan, who travelled to Saudi for work, reportedly deleted his post and apologised, but it had already been reported to Saudi authorities.
