America's Hindu population has reached 2.23 million, an increase of about one million since 2007, making Hinduism the fourth-largest faith in the country, according to a study. The proportion of Hindus in the US rose from 1.2 million (0.4%) in 2007 to 2.23 million (0.7%) in 2014. The study was done by Pew Research Center which surveyed over 35,000 people.
