Hindustan Unilever has filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court to challenge a tax demand notice worth ₹962.75 crore it received in August. The tax demand was related to TDS not paid on a remittance of ₹3,045 crore for the acquisition of India HFD IPR from GlaxoSmithKline 'GSK' Group entities. The tax demand includes interest worth ₹329.33 crore.
