Hindustan Unilever Limited, an FMCG company, saw its share price surge 3% to ₹2,693 on Tuesday after announcing the sale of its Pureit water purification business for ₹601 crore to AO Smith India. Pureit’s FY2023-24 turnover was ₹293 crore and the transaction is expected to be completed within a period of 3 months.
