On the occasion of 100th birth anniversary of ex-Bihar CM Karpoori Thakur, PM Narendra Modi said the former's "life revolved around...pillars of simplicity and social justice". PM said, "When [Thakur] passed away...several leaders went to his village...When they saw the condition of his house, they were moved to tears- how could someone so towering have a house so simple!"
