Ragini Maharaj, granddaughter of Kathak maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj, who passed away late Sunday, said he always mentioned that if he had not been a dancer, he'd have been a mechanic. Ragini said that he loved gadgets and wanted to buy them at the earliest. "His image in my mind will always be smiling," she said.
