Forward Seamen's Union of India (FSUI) has shared a post after the death of 35-year-old Second Officer Nishanth Uirthanathan on MT Celestial off the coast of Oman. "A young Indian seafarer's life cost just 10 Omani Riyal (₹2,473) — the medical visa/evacuation fee...[He died] due to shipowner negligence," FSUI said. FSUI had earlier said that medical evacuation was delayed.
