Japan's second-biggest automaker by sales Honda Motor on Friday said that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Takahiro Hachigo would step down on April 1. The company announced that Toshihiro Mibe, who heads Honda's research and development arm, would be the new CEO. Mibe had joined Honda in 1987 and became the President of Honda's R&D unit in 2019.
