Hong Kong loses world's freest economy title after 25 yrs, Singapore takes over

Singapore has overtaken Hong Kong as the world's freest economy, a position it had been in since 1995, according to Washington think tank Heritage Foundation's report. Hong Kong's economic freedom fell due to political and social unrest which led to a decline in investment freedom. The city's economic freedom score is 89.1, a drop of 1.1 points from last year.
