Hong Kong has regained its title of the world's freest economy after beating Singapore, said Canadian think-tank Fraser Institute. Singapore had dethroned Hong Kong as the freest economy for the first time since 1970 in 2023. The economic freedom index is measured on ease of international trade, freedom to enter and compete in markets, among others.
