Speaking about his expectations from the upcoming Interim Budget, JSW Steel Joint MD and CEO Jayant Acharya said he expects the Budget to focus on public capital expenditure and boosting manufacturing. He added he is optimistic there will be protection from cheap steel imports. The government had raised capital expenditure by 33% to ₹10 lakh crore in Budget 2023.
