Hoteliers rushing to hire ex-food inspectors amid Mundhe-led FDA crackdown in Maha

Hoteliers are rushing to hire former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and FSSAI officials to run mock audits of their kitchens amidst FDA crackdown in Maharashtra. "Ever since the new FDA commissioner [Tukaram Mundhe] has taken charge...we are being sought out by hotels to inspect their premises," an ex-FSSAI official said. FDA has suspended over 150 licences so far.
