Houthi-linked group used Claude AI for missile software: Report

An Anthropic report reveals a Yemen-based weapons cell used Claude AI to develop software for guided rockets and ballistic missiles between December 2025 and August 2026. The Houthi-linked group utilised the tool for coding and troubleshooting, leading to a failed field test. Anthropic has since banned the accounts and alerted authorities.
