Houthi militias handling case of Indian nurse given death penalty: Yemen Embassy

The Yemen Embassy in New Delhi on Monday clarified that Yemen President Rashad al-Alimi had not ratified the capital punishment given to Indian nurse Nimisha Priya. The Embassy emphasised that the case has been handled by Houthi militias. Nimisha is lodged in a jail in Sana'a, a city controlled by Houthis. She was imprisoned for allegedly murdering a Yemeni national.
