How a customer complaint led to the invention of Potato Chips?

In 1853, chef George Crum allegedly created potato chips by slicing potatoes extremely thin after a customer repeatedly complained they were too thick. Instead of rejecting them, the customer loved the crispy slices. What began as a kitchen prank soon became one of the world's most popular snacks, spawning a multibillion-dollar global industry.
