How a Japanese invented the QR code to replace Barcodes

The QR code was invented in 1994 by Masahiro Hara at Denso Wave, Japan, to improve tracking of automotive parts. Inspired by the board game Go, Hara developed a two-dimensional matrix that stores far more data than traditional barcodes. Originally designed for industrial use, this innovation has become a global tool for payments, data sharing, and digital access.
