BJP contested on 89 of the 90 seats in Haryana and registered a hat-trick win in the polls by winning 48 seats. The party recorded the highest-ever seat share (53.3%) and vote share (39.9%)in any Assembly election in the state. Meanwhile, Congress that won 37 seats garnered 39.09% vote share, its best in the state's Assembly elections since 2005.
