How did Elon Musk make his Tesla car fly?

Elon Musk has unveiled Tesla Roadster 2, an electric supercar that can fly and reach 60 mph in just one second. The Roadster's proposed Rocket model uses 10 SpaceX thrusters connected to 600 litres of compressed air to lift the car using Newton's Third Law. Unlike conventional rocket engines, there's no fuel burning inside the thruster to produce hot exhaust.
