iBomma founder Immadi Ravi, who has been arrested for running popular movie piracy websites, made at least ₹20 crore, said police. Ravi allegedly sourced newly released movies on day of release on Telegram. He also sourced OTT content through third-party software. By hosting his servers in foreign locations, he made it difficult for law enforcement agencies to trace his activities.
