Mumbai has retained the spot as the most expensive Indian city for expatriates to live after moving 11 spots to rank 136th globally as per Mercer's 2024 Cost of Living Survey. New Delhi, ranking 165th, rose four spots while Chennai and Bengaluru, ranking 189th and 195th, slipped five and six positions respectively. Hyderabad ranked 202nd, same as last year.
